Volunteer Positions
UEG's Young Talent Group and Scientific Committee invite young digestive health professionals from around the world to apply to be considered for a chairing position at UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona.
Applicants must be a UEG Young Associate fluent in English to be considered for the opportunity. All digestive health specialists (incl. surgeons, paediatricians, radiologists, pathologists,…) with an MD or basic/clinical scientists at pre/post PD/PhD level are welcome to apply.

UEG Journal is looking for young professionals across specialities in digestive health to assist Associate Editors in peer-reviewing, as well as contribute to other tasks, such as managing the journal's social media and coordinating visual abstracts. Trainee Editors get the opportunity to be introduced into the editing process, therefore previous experience on an editorial board of a medical journal is not required. Serve as a host for a two-week Clinical Visiting Fellowship by welcoming, teaching, and mentoring a young colleague from another country in your department. Hosts provide clinical insight, guidance, and support, contributing to cross-border exchange and professional development.
