Travel Grants

UEG offers 500 Travel Grants up to € 750 in 2026 for clinical and basic scientists up to the age of 40:

• 200 grants for best submitted clinical science abstracts
• 140 grants for best submitted basic science abstracts
• 160 grants for best submitted abstracts

• The grant must be applied for when submitting an abstract via the abstract submission portal.
• The grant can only be awarded once per abstract presenter per meeting.
• This opportunity is only available for UEG Young Associates.*

* Main carers of children can apply for an extension of the age limit (2 years for one child and max. 4 years for two or more children) to become a UEG Young Associate. Travel grants are awarded on the basis of scientific merit using the evaluation process of the Scientific Committee. 

While submitting an abstract, you can tick the Travel Grant application box. By doing so, you are indicating your interest in receiving a travel grant. The presenting author has to also prove that they are a UEG Young Associate via a confirmation system.

Awardees are notified about the Travel Grant in the final week of July 2026. The grant is paid via bank transfer after the congress. The presenting author needs to present a valid ID card or passport (for identification and age verification) at the Travel Grant counter, located in the registration area of the venue.
