The Postgradute Teaching 2020 curriculum and programme will be postponed to next year and will take place at UEG Week Vienna from October 2-3, 2021.
However, on November 27-28, 2020 UEG will host a 2-day live event on the virtual platform. Best of Postgraduate Teaching from UEG Week covers the best sessions from the Postgraduate Teaching Course from the past years. This course will require a separate registration.
UEG’s leadership has carefully assessed the risk and drawn feasibility plans of how UEG Week can adapt to the unprecedented situation. As UEG regards the health and safety of our community as a top priority and leads by example the decision was made that given the present circumstances and the uncertainty of the situation in fall, UEG Week will take place virtually.
The physical UEG Week 2020 will not be postponed to a later date but will only take place virtually from October 11-13, 2020. The virtual congress will still allow instant interaction and advanced scientific exchange in real-time. The scientific programme will uphold the UEG standard by bringing you the latest and greatest in science and remaining state of the art.

Accommodation and Travel

I have already made my travel arrangements for UEG Week 2020 in Amsterdam. Will I be refunded for occurred travel costs?
If you have booked your accommodation via our official housing partner RAI Hotel Services you can still cancel your booking for free. Please with your booking reference as soon as possible to cancel your booked hotel.
If you have not booked your accommodation via RAI Hotel Services, please contact your hotel or your booking agent in regards to your cancellation and the according cancellation conditions.
UEG does not refund cancellation costs for accommodation bookings.
If you have already made your travel arrangements, please directly contact the company you have purchased your ticket with (airline, train company, etc.) to cancel your booking. If you have taken a travel insurance , please contact your travel insurance provider. UEG does not cover any costs for travel arrangements and cancellation costs.

All Abstract Presenters need to register to UEG Week Virtual 2020 by October 2, 2020. Otherwise their abstract presentation (oral/poster) will not be included in the programme.
The UEG Scientific Committee is currently adapting the programme to the new 3-day schedule of UEG Week Virtual 2020. Science will continue to be an essential part of the meeting and the abstract reviewing process continues as planned. You will be informed by mid of July whether your abstract is accepted, and therefore part of the programme.
All accepted abstracts will be published within the online programme and in the UEG Journal abstract supplement.
You can withdraw your abstract directly via an online system by July 24, 2020. You will receive more information in a separate email.
Yes, the late breaking abstract submission will open on August 10. We look forward to receiving your abstract.

The UEG Week Virtual 2020, Vienna (live streaming), Austria, 11/10/2020-13/10/2020 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 24 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
